M degree from Harvard Law School, and a professorial degree from Humboldt-University Berlin. Since 2001, he is full time professor of law at the University of Geneva. He is Director of the Department of Private International Law (since 2015) and Director of the Program on Transnational Law (CTL/CDT, since 2001). He acts as visiting professor at KU Leuven (since 2015).
